A monk, Euthalios 1 is mentioned in a letter of Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite), written in winter 815/816; he was apparently travelling around visiting various monks: Theod. Stud., Ep. 120, pp. 238-239 (the letter was sent to Naukratios 1).
