Eustathios 42 was basilikos spatharios and epi ton deeseon; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 1898A. The name and titles read: Εὐσταθίῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν δεήσεων. Cf. also Eustathios 27.
