Epiphanios 2 was archbishop of Konstantia in Cyprus (usually styled the archbishop of Cyprus); he did not attend the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) in person but was represented by the bishop of Trimithous in Cyprus, Theodoros 36, at the last five sessions (from 5 April to 16 September, 681): Riedinger, pp. 630-822 (= Mansi 584-669). In the subscription to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Ἐπιφανίου τοῦ ἁγιωτάτου ἀρχιεπισκόπου : Riedinger, p. 778, line 20, p. 822, line 25 (= Mansi XI 640, 669). In the list of those attending the fifteenth session he is styled Ἐπιφανίου τοῦ ὁσιωτάτου ἀρχιεπισκόπου Κωνσταντίας Κύπρου: Riedinger, p. 666, line 24 (= Mansi XI 604). In the lists of those attending the other four sessions he is styled Ἐπιφανίου τοῦ θεοφιλεστάτου ἀρχιεπισκόπου Κύπρου (or similar; at 706, the seventeenth session, the text only survives in an old Latin version): Riedinger, p. 630, line 15, p. 654, line 26, p. 684, line 24, p. 706, line 22, p. 754, line 20 (= Mansi XI 584, 597, 613, 622, 625).
