Deusdedit 5 was a priest of Ravenna; he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649; he and the bishop of Caesena, Mauros 8, represented the absent bishop of Ravenna, Mauros 3: Conc. Lat., p. 2, lines 11-12 (Μαύρου ἐπισκόπου Κεσίνης καὶ Δευσδέδιτ πρεσβυτέρου Ῥαβέννης τὸν τόπον ἀναπληρούντων Μαύρου ἐπισκόπου τῆς αὐτῆς Ῥαβεννησίων πόλεως), p. 3, lines 11-12 ("Mauro Cesenate episcopo et Deusdedit presbitero agentes locum Mauri sanctissimi Ravennatis ecclesiae") (the first session), cf. pp. 31, 111, 177 and 247 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). At the first session he and Mauros 8 presented a letter from Mauros 3 explaining his absence and naming them as his representatives: Conc. Lat., p. 22, line 1 (Δευσδέδιτ Ῥαβέννης πρεσβύτερος), p. 23, line 1 ("Deusdedit Ravennatis presbiter"), cf. p. 22, lines 25-26 with p. 23, line 24, p. 24, lines 27ff. with p. 25, lines 21ff. (Mauros of Ravenna confirmed that Mauros of Caesena and the priest Deusdedit were his representatives). At the second session they proposed that the letter from Sergios bishop of Cyprus to pope Theodore (Theodoros 49), which had just been read out to the Council, should be inserted into the Acts: Conc. Lat., p. 64, lines 16-18 with p. 65, lines 15-17. He and Mauros subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session, on behalf of Mauros 3: Conc. Lat., p. 390, lines 27-28 (Μαῦρος ἐπίσκοπος Κεσίνης καὶ Δεουσδέδιτ πρεσβύτερος Ῥαβέννης τὸν τόπον πληροῦντες Μαύρου τοῦ ἐπισκόπου τῆς αὐτῆς Ῥαβεννησίων πόλεως), p. 391, lines 27-28 ("Maurus Cesenatis ecclesiae episcopus et Deusdedit presbiter locum agentes Mauri sanctissimi episcopi Ravennatis ecclesiae").
