Democharis 2 is named in the address of a letter from the patriarch Photius (Photios 1) to Ioannes 444: Photius, Ep. 49 (I 94 Laourdas-Westerink) (addressed Ἰωάννῃ πατρικίῳ καὶ σακελλαρίῳ τῷ κατὰ τὸν Δημόχαριν). The meaning of the last words is uncertain but they could mean that Democharis 2 was the father of Ioannes 444. Possibly identical with Democharis 1.
