Citonatus 2 was bishop of Portus; in 767 he and two other bishops, Eustratios 11 of Albanum and Georgios 131 of Praeneste, consecrated Konstantinos 140 as bishop of Rome: Lib. Pont. 96. 4 ("et aliis duobus episcopis, Eustratio Albanense et Citonato Portuense"). Konstantinos 140 was regarded as an intruder in the papal see (the antipope Constantine). In 769 Citonatus 2 attended a Council held at Rome: Lib. Pont. 96. 17 ("Citonatus episcopus civitate Portuensis"). He is named twenty seventh of the bishops summoned by the pope (Stephen IV (III), Stephanos 84).
