Seal SourcesZacos, G. and Veglery, A., Byzantine Lead Seals, vol. I (in 3 parts) (Basel, 1972).

See now Petronas 14. The name, read by Zacos and Veglery 2607 as Basileios, is interpreted as Petronas at DOSeals III 39. 35.

Basilios 112 was a patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and komes of the Opsikion; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2607. The name and titles read: .ας... ......., πατρικίῳ, βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ κόμητι τοῦ Ὀψικίου. Only the letters .ας... were read by Zacos and Veglery and they interpreted the name as Basileios; they also suggested that the space between the name and the title patrikios was occupied by another title, viz. anthypatos.
