Basakios 3 was the owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Seibt, Bleisiegel I, p. 266 (unpublished seal in the Institute of Fine Arts, Birmingham). Obv.: eagle with invocative monogram. Rev.: between two cypresses, the legend: +Βασα - κιου. He was approximately contemporary with Basakios 2.
