Athanasios 13 was a hypatos; owner of two seals dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1425a and 1425b. Obv.: circular inscription of +Παναγια Τριας ο Θεος ημων, and a cruciform monogram ofβοήθει in the centre with a star in each corner. Rev.: circular inscription of τω σω δουλω Αθανασιω, and a cruciform monogram of υπατω in the centre with a star in each corner. The full text reads: +Παναγία Τριὰς ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Ἀθανασίῳ ὑπάτῳ. The similarity of their seals suggests that Athanasios 13 was the same person as Athanasios 12, at a different stage of his career.
