Anonymus 758 was the kourator of the xenodochos of Pylai (ὁ τοῦ ξενοδόχου Πυλῶν κουράτωρ; cf. Anonymus 759); he exacted money from certain monasteries under the jurisdiction of the bishop of Nikomedeia for the xenodocheion on the grounds that their estates adjoined those of the xenodocheion; a letter from Ignatius the Deacon (Ignatios 9) asked Konstantinos 293 to forbid such exactions and to have the money recovered from the kourator and returned to the monasteries: Ignatius Diac., Ep. 6.
