Anonymus 727 was the governor of Dalmatia; when the patriarch of Grado, Fortunatus (Phortounatos 2), summoned by Louis the Pious (Lodoïchos 2) to face charges of assisting the revolt of Ljudovit, fled to Zara in Dalmatia, the governor immediately sent him by sea to Constantinople: Annales Regni Francorum s.a. 821.
