Anonymus 169 was a chartoularios of the basilikon sakellion; owner of a seal dateable between the eighth and eleventh centuries: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 580, no. 2 (no facsimile). Obv.: cruciform monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ...........λ και χαρ....αρ' του β.. .ακελ..ου +. The titles read: ...λ[] καὶ χαρ[τουλ]αρ[ίῳ] τοῦ β[ασ' σ]ακελλίου. Cf. Anonymus 445 (owner of a similar seal, and perhaps the same person).
