Anonymus 77 was a basilikos spatharios and tourmarches of Sicily; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century; his name ended with the letters ...ανος: DOSeals I 5.36 = Zacos and Veglery 2664. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε (or Κύριε) βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ...ανω β' σπ[α]θ' και τουρμα[ρ]χ' Σικêλ. The name and titles read: ...ανῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ τουρμάρχῃ Σικελίας. A tourmarch called Markianos (Markianos 4) is known from this period but he was only a kandidatos (see note in Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DO Seals I, p. 34).
