Anonymus 62 is an unnamed member of the senatorial order (ἕτερος δέ τις συγκλητικός); an acquaintance of Peter of Atroa (Petros 34), he later told Sabas 1 how he was pursued by the enemy after a defeat in a skirmish and was about to be overtaken and captured when he invoked the aid of Petros 34, whereupon his horse gained extra strength and carried him safely home: Vita Petr. Atr. 39, pp. 153-155. The enemy is not identified but was probably the Arabs (cf. Beniamin 1) rather than troops of the rebel Thomas 7. The incident is narrated among events from the reign of Michael II (Michael 10).
