Anonymi 14 were members of the staff of the praipositos Baanes 5 in 867, when they accompanied Baanes 5 on a mission to Photios 1 and saw Photios 1's servants trying to conceal a number of sealed bags; they seized them and took them to the emperor Basil I (Basilios 7) for inspection: Nicetas, Vita Ignatii 540C (οἱ περὶ τὸν πραιπόσιτον).
