Anonyma 63 was the wife (γυναικὶ) of Leo 256; they lived in the town of Acheirao (or Achyraos; Vita C Theod. Stud.); she was attacked by an evil spirit (πνεῦμα ἐχούσῃ ἀκάθαρτον) and began to gnaw her own flesh (Vita A - τὰς ἰδίας ἔστιν ὅτε σάρκας ποιεῖν διασπᾷν καὶ ταύτας ἐσθίειν; Vita B - ὥστε καὶ τὰς ἰδίας κατεσθίειν ἀνεπαισθήτως σάρκας) but was miraculously cured by Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15) by the laying on of hands and by prayer; in token of the miracle, their finger and toenails all fell out at the moment of healing: Vita A Theod. Stud. 209C-212A, Vita B Theod. Stud. 305CD, Vita C Theod. Stud. 294. The event occurred between 821 and 826.
