Anonyma 33 was the wife of Anonymus 256 (a gaoler at the praitorion); an iconophile, when she heard from her husband that Stephen the Younger (Stephanos 2) was imprisoned in the praitorion, she secretly entered the prison and arranged to supply Stephanos 2 with provisions; this she continued to do during the eleven months that he was held there; she also gave him icons from her own home: Vita Steph. Iun. 158, 21-159, 31 (1161A-1164B). Forty days before his death Stephanos 2 told her not to bring any more food and then two days before his death he returned the icons to her and warned her not to come any more: Vita Steph. Iun. 163, 11-164, 22 (1168B-1169B). Stephanos 2 died on 28 November 765. See also G. L. Huxley, "Women and Byzantine Iconoclasm", in Women and Byzantine Monasticism.
