Anonyma 7 was the sister of the Bulgar ruler Bogaris (Boris 1); captured by the Romans, she lived at the imperial court, where she received an education and became literate and also became a convert to Christianity; eventually, after negotiations between the empress Theodora (Theodora 7) and her brother she was exchanged for the monk Theodoros Koupharas (Theodoros 76) and returned home, where she enthusiastically tried to convert her brother also to Christianity, initially without success: Theoph. Cont. IV 14 (pp. 162-163), Ps.-Symeon 664, Zon.
