Zoetos 1 was bishop of Dios Hieron, i.e. Christoupolis, in Asia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at the last eight sessions (sessions eleven to eighteen, from 20 March to 16 September 681): Riedinger, pp. 404-826 (= Mansi XI 457-674). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, he is styled Ζωϊτὸς ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος Χριστουπόλεως ἤτοι Διὸς ἱερὸν τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger, p. 786, line 27 (= Mansi XI 648). In the old Latin version printed in Riedinger his see is called "Christopoleos siue Dios ierum, quod est Iobis tumulus": Riedinger, p. 787, lines 29-30 (= Mansi XI 647). In the subscriptions to the Council he is styled Ζωϊτὸς ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Χριστουπολιτῶν πόλεως ἤτοι Διὸς ἱεροῦ τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger, p. 826, lines 3-4 (= Mansi XI 673). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Ζωϊτοῦ ἐπισκόπου Χριστουπόλεως Ἀσίας at Riedinger, p. 404, line 25, p. 518, line 16, p. 572, line 32, p. 632, line 25, p. 668, line 29 (= Mansi XI 457, 520, 552, 585, 605); ἐπισκόπου Χριστουπόλεως Ἀσίας ἤτοι Διὸς ἱεροῦ at Riedinger, p. 688, line 11 (= Mansi XI 613); "Zoito episcopo Christopoleos, hoc est Dios hieru Asiae prouinciae" at Riedinger, p. 708, line 26 (= Mansi XI 623); and ἐπισκόπου Χριστουπόλεως ἤτοι Διὸς ἱεροῦ τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας at Riedinger, p. 758, line 20 (= Mansi XI 628). The old Latin version at Riedinger, p. 759, line 20 (= Mansi XI 627) also explains "Dios hieru" as "quod est Iobis sacrum". Still bishop of Christoupolis in 692, he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 153, no. 71 (= Mansi XI 993) (Ζωητὸς ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος Χριστουπόλεως ἤτοι Διὸς Ἱεροῦ τῶν Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας).
