Wilchar 2 was bishop of Nomentum; on 15 November 753 he was in the retinue of pope Stephen III (II) (Stephanos 8) when Stephen set out from Ticinum en route for Francia; he presumably accompanied Stephen when the pope set out from Rome on his journey on 14 October: Lib. Pont. 94. 23 ("Wilcharium episcopum Numentano").
