Victor 1 was bishop of Bononia (in Aemilia in N. Italy); he was one of the hundred and twenty-five Western bishops who attended the Council of Rome at Easter 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger, p. 158, lines 14-15 (= Mansi XI 313-316) (Βίκτωρ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἁγίας ἐκκλησίας Βονονίας; the old Latin version printed in Riedinger, line 159, line 12 calls his see "sanctae ecclesiae Bononiensis").
