Valentinus 2 was bishop of Aquae (i.e. Aquae Statiellae) in N. Italy; he was one of the hundred and twenty-five Western bishops who attended the Council of Rome at Easter 680, and who subscribed the decree condemning monotheletism: Riedinger, p. 148, lines 27-29 (= Mansi XI 305-306) (Βαλεντῖνος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς ἁγίας ἐκκλησίας Ἀκόνσου; the old Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 149, line 23 calls his see "sanctae\n ecclesiae Aquensis").
