Thomas 55 was a basilikos(?) spatharios and epi ton deeseon; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2560. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with [τ]ω - σω - [δ]ου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Θωμα - [β] σπ' (καὶ) επι - [τ]ων δεη - σ[έων]. The name and titles probably read: Θωμᾷ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν δεησέων.
