Thomas 18 was an asekretis; owner of a seal dateable to the iconoclast period (VIII/M IX): Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", p. 224, no. 304. Obv.: cruciform monogram in the name of the Virgin. Rev.: Θομας ασεκρετις. Possibly identical with Thomas asekretis who owned two similar seals dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 1665a and b = Laurent, Corpus II, no. 27. Obv.: (a and b) cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Rev.: (a and b) + Θω - μα ας - ηκρη - τις +.
