Thomas 17 was the owner of a seal dateable to the sixth or seventh century: Tsougarakis, SBS 2, p. 149, no. 44 = Xanthoudides, "Boullai" I, p. 176, no. 1. Obv.: bust of Virgin with Christ. Rev.: monogram of Θωμᾶ. The seal was found in Crete, in the ruins of Gortyna.
