Theopistos 2 was a paraphylax of Abydos; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: DOSeals III 40.34 = Zacos and Veglery 2552. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: + - Θεοπις - τω παρα - φυλακι Α - βυδου - +. The name and title read: Θεοπίστῳ παραφύλακι Ἀβύδου.
