Theophylaktos 116 was a basilikos koubikoularios, hypatos and sakellarios; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Laurent, Orghidan 355. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with .ω - σω - .ου - .. in the corners. Rev.: Θεο.. - ακτω β. - ουβικ' . - π.τ και ς. - .... The name and titles read: Θεοφυλάκτῳ βασιλικῷ κουβικουλαρίῳ, ὑπάτῳ καὶ ς..... The last title was restored by Laurent as σακελλαρίῳ. The second of his dignities could be read as πατρίκιος, but the apparent existence of a letter (now lost) before the π suggests rather ὕπατος.
