Theophylaktos 106 and Christophoros 47 were shepherds near Merillou Kome, a village in Bithynia; they were helped by St Ioannikios 2 to find their flocks which had been scattered by a pack of wild dogs; in return they guided him on his way to a place called Trapeza: Sabas, Vita Ioannicii 34, Petrus, Vita Ioannicii 60. At the time Ioannikios 2 was en route from Mt Trichalix (near Prousa, Bithynia) to Korakos Kephale, probably late in the reign of Michael II (Michael 10); see Ioannikios 2.
