Theophylaktos 102 was a patrikios, praipositos and basilikos sakellarios; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2542. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Θεοφ - υλακτω πα - τρικ' πραιπο - σιτ' (και) β' σακ - κελαρ'. The name and titles read: Θεοφυλάκτῳ πατρικίῳ, πραιποσίτῳ καὶ βασιλικῷ σακελλαρίῳ. Probably identical with Theophylaktos patrikios, praipositos and basilikos sakellarios who owned similar seals also dateable to the ninth century: Laurent, Corpus II, no. 753 = Laurent, Vat. 78, Szemioth and Wasilewski, "Sceaux byzantins," 39 (cf. Laurent, op. cit., pp. 28ff.). Laurent, Corpus II, no. 753, note, raised the question whether this man took part in the Eighth Ecumenical Council.
