Theophylaktos 98 was a basilikos spatharios and tourmarches of the Opsikion; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals III 39.51 = Zacos and Veglery 2550. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Κύριε βοήθει, with [τ]ω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev. : +Θεο. - υλακτω β' - σπ' και τουρμ' - του Οψι'. The name and titles read: Θεοφυλάκτῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ τουρμάρχῃ τοῦ Ὀψικίου. According to Laurent, this man may be identical with Theophylaktos 94.
