Theophylaktos 88 was a hypatos, basilikos strator and droungarios; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2536. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - δου - [λ]ω - σου in the corners. Rev.: +Θεο - [φ]υλακτω - [υ]πατω βας - [ι]λ' στρατορ - . [δρ]ογγα - [ρ]ιω+. The name and titles read: Θεοφυλάκτῳ ὑπάτῳ, βασιλικῷ στράτορι καὶ δρουγγαρίῳ.
