Theophylaktos 87 was a basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Sicilia; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2545. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with [τ]ω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Θεοφ[υ] - λακτω [β] - ασιλ' πρωτ. - σπαθαρ. [σ] - τρατηγ - ω Σικ'. The name and titles read: Θεοφυλάκτῳ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Σικελίας.
