Theophylaktos 42 was a basilikos spatharios and protonotarios of Thessalonike; owner of a seal probably dateable to the ninth or tenth century: Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", p. 387, no. 449. Obv.: invocative formula in the name of the Lord. Rev.: Θεοφύλακτος βασιλικὸς σπαθάριος and πρωτονοτάριος Θεσσαλονίκης.
