Theophylaktos 10 was bishop of Kerasous in Pontus Polemoniacus; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 692-828 (= Mansi XI 616-680). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and in the signatures to the Council he is styled Θεοφύλακτος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος (Riedinger, p. 792, line 25 (= Mansi XI 652) adds: πόλεως) Κερασούντων: Riedinger, p. 792, line 25, p. 828, line 2 (= Mansi XI 652, 680). The old Latin version printed in Riedinger calls his see "ciuitatis Caerasuntae": Riedinger, p. 793, line 27 (= Mansi XI 651). In the lists of those present at each session he is styled Θεοφυλάκτου ἐπισκόπου Κερασούντων: Riedinger, p. 692, line 1, p. 762, line 10 (= Mansi XI 616, 629).
