Theophilos 36 was a basilikos spatharios and strategos of the Kibyrrhaiotai; owner of a golden ring dateable to the late eighth century (Zacos and Veglery identify the owner with Theophilos 3): Zacos and Veglery 1658. On the bezel is an inscription in reverse, which reads: +Κε βο - ηθει Θεοφ - ιλω β' σπ' (καὶ) ς - τρ' των Κυβ - εριωτω. On the hoop is a nielloed rinceau, with a cruciform monogram on each shoulder, of Θεοτόκε βοήθει on the right and τω σω δουλω on the left. The inscription on the bezel reads: +Κύριε βοήθει Θεοφίλῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Κυβεριωτῶν.
