Theophano 4 was a doukissa; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 8, 1042. The name and title read: Θε[ο]φανὼ [δ]ουκή[σαν]. A doukissa was presumably the wife of a doux.
