Theophanes 43 was a kourator; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2504. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Θεοφα - νη κουρα - τωρη. The name and title read: Θεοφάνῃ κουράτωρι.
