Theophanes 35 was a hypatos; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2505. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - δου - λω - σου in the corners. Rev.: cruciform monogram of Θεοφανους, with υπ - α - τ - ω in the corners. The name and title read: Θεοφάνους ὑπάτῳ (sic).
