Theophanes 34 was a basilikos spatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2511. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with [τ]ω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: cruciform monogram of Θεοφανει, with [β]ας - ιλικ - σπα - θαρ' in the corners. The name and title read: Θεοφάνει βασιλικῳ σπαθαριῳ.
