Theoktistos 14 was a basilikos spatharios and domestikos of the Optimatoi; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals III 71.15 = Zacos and Veglery 2499 (misread as Ἱκανάτον; see W. Seibt, Review of Zacos and Veglery, in ByzSlav 36 (1975), 212, citing a better preserved specimen in Vienna). Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with .ω - σω - .ου - .. in the corners. Rev.: Θε - στω β - θ' και δο - . τον - πτημ. The name and titles read: Θεοκτήστῳ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ δομεστίκῳ τῶν Ὀπτιμάτων.
