Theodotos 43 was a patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and strategos; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2485. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with [τω] - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Θεοδ[ο] - τω πατρ' β' - α' σπ' (καὶ) στ[ρ] - [α]τηγ'. The name and titles read: Θεοδότῳ πατρικίῳ, βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ.
