Theodotos 33 was a basilikos spatharios and ek prosopou for the Karabisianoi; owner of two similar seals dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2488Aa and b. Obv.: (a and b) cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: (a) Θεοδ[ο] - τω β' σπ[αθ'] - (καὶ) εκ πρ' εις [Κα] - [ρα]βησια[ν] - ους; (b) [Θ]εοδο - [τ]ω β' σπαθ' / [(καὶ) εκ] πρ' εις Κα - [ραβ]ησια[ν] - ο[υ]ς. The name and titles read: Θεοδότῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ ἐκ προσώπου εἰς Καραβησιάνους. On the Karabisianoi, see ODB II, pp. 1105-1106 with references.
