Theodotos 4 was bishop of Daldis in Lydia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 690-827 (= Mansi XI 616-678). His name is given as Theodorus in the old Latin versions printed in Mansi at 615 and 627, and in the Greek at 616; elsewhere, and in all entries in the Riedinger edition, it is Theodotos. In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Θεόδοτος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Δάλδης: Riedinger, p. 790, line 10, p. 827, line 15 (= Mansi XI 649, 677).
