Theodosios 7 was bishop of Lacedaimonia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (the sixteenth and the eighteenth, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 688-825 (= Mansi XI 613-673). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Acts of the Council, he is styled Θεοδόσιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Λακεδαιμονίων πόλεως: Riedinger, p. 784, line 18, p. 825, line 19 (= Mansi XI 645, 673). In the lists of those present at each session he is styled Θεοδοσίου ἐπισκόπου Λακεδαιμονίας: Riedinger, p. 688, line 5, p. 758, line 10 (= Mansi XI 613, 628).
