Theodoros 297 was a hegoumenos of Karpathos; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century (DOSeals) or between the mid eighth and the mid ninth century (Zacos and Veglery) or to the ninth century (Laurent): DOSeals II 48.1 = Zacos and Veglery 2429 = Laurent, Corpus V 3, no. 1940. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: .εοδ - .ρ?ο ηγου - μενο Κα - ρπαθ'. The name and title read: Θεοδώρῳ ἡγουμένῳ Καρπάθου. The rho of the name was accepted by Zacos and Veglery, but is rejected by the editors of DOSeals and the names "Theodosios", "Theodotos" and "Theodoulos" are proposed as also possible.
