Theodoros 284 was a basilikos spatharios and strategos of the Thrakesioi; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the eighth century: DOSeals III 2.53 = Zacos and Veglery 2462. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Θεοδ - ωρω β' .π - αθ' και στρατ - ιγ' τον Θρ - ακησ'. The name and titles read: Θεοδώρῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατιγῷ το͂ν Θρᾳκησίων. For a parallel seal, Ebersolt 534, see Seibt, ByzSlav 36 (1975) 211.
