Theodoros 214 was a proedros; owner of a seal of uncertain date, possibly ninth or tenth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 483d. The name and title read: Θεοδώρῳ προέδρῳ. A note in PmbZ adds that his nickname or family-name began with the letter A. If this man was a civilian, the date is not earlier than the reign of Nikephoros II (who created the title proedros); however, as an ecclesiastical term equivalent to bishop the title occurs earlier.
