Theodoros 45 was bishop of Trapezous in Pontus Polemoniacus; in 681 he attended the final session of the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) (on 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 762-829 (= Mansi XI 629-680). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council he is styled Θεόδωρος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Τραπεζουντίων πόλεως: Riedinger, p. 796, line 9, p. 829, line 1 (= Mansi XI 653, 680). In the list of those present at the session he is styled Θεοδώρου ἐπισκόπου Τραπεζούντων: Riedinger, p. 762, line 11 (= Mansi XI 629). In the Latin version at Riedinger, p. 797, line 9 (= Mansi XI 654) his see is called "ciuitatis Trapezuntiorum" and at Mansi XI 679 (unavailable in the Riedinger edition) "civitatis Trapezuntis".
