Theodemos 1 was a basilikos spatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2410. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Θεοδη - μω β' σπα - θαριω. The name and title read: Θεοδήμῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ.
