Thekla 4 was possibly a nun; she was an acquaintance of the Stoudite monk Dorotheos 9; in a letter to Dorotheos 9, written between 821 and 826, Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) sent greetings to the monks with Dorotheos 9 and also to Thekla 4 (καὶ τὴν κυρίαν Θέκλαν ὡς θυγατέρα ἐν Χριστῷ): Theod. Stud., Ep. 531.
